Safety Technician- Contract

We are looking for a Safety Technician  Union, SC
 
Qty: 1.
Period of time: From November to January 2026.
Schedule: from 8 to 18:00 hrs. one shift / Monday to Saturday.

SOW – Safety Technician:
1. Scope of Work
•    Support safe execution of all mechanical and electrical installation activities in the GA shop.
•    Enforce and monitor compliance with site safety regulations, contractor requirements, and company EHS policies.
•    Proactively identify and mitigate safety hazards during installation and commissioning phases.
2. Responsibilities
•    Conduct daily safety walkthroughs and inspections in active work zones.
•    Monitor high-risk activities (e.g., working at height, hot work, confined space) and ensure permits are in place.
•    Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings with contractors and site teams.
•    Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all workers.
•    Investigate safety incidents or near-misses and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
•    Verify that lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed during equipment installation or modification.
•    Maintain accurate records of inspections, safety observations, and incident reports.
•    Assist in training sessions for contractors and site staff on safety procedures and emergency response.
•    Liaise with project managers, construction supervisors, and EHS leads to escalate safety concerns.
3. Deliverables
•    Daily safety inspection reports.
•    Weekly summary of observations and recommended actions.
•    Incident and near-miss investigation reports.
•    Updated permit-to-work logs and audit checklists.
4. Requirements
•    Knowledge of OSHA and relevant local safety regulations.
•    Minimum 1-3 years of experience in industrial construction or automotive GA safety roles.
•    Certification in occupational safety ( OSHA 30) preferred.
•    Good communication skills and ability to work in multicultural environments.
•    Physically capable of conducting inspections across large construction zones.
5. Duration and Work Hours
•    Project-based assignment; estimated duration: 3 months
•    10 hours/day, 6 days/week, with flexibility during ramp-up or critical phases.
